Our mission is to automate coding. The first step in our journey is to build the best tool for professional programmers, using a combination of inventive research, design, and engineering.
We're a group of engineers and scientists who've built beloved products, created large OSS projects, started at-scale businesses, won olympiad medals, and published significant research (e.g., sualeh, ian, tmm1, luke, phil, federico, aman).
Our organization is very flat, and our team is small and talent-dense. We particularly like people who are truth-seeking, passionate, and creative. We enjoy spirited debate, crazy ideas, and shipping code.
We're in-person in a cozy office in North Beach, San Francisco, replete with a well-stocked library. Our investors include OpenAI, Andreessen Horowitz, Jeff Dean, John Schulman, and the founders of Stripe and Github.
