Position: Solutions Engineer
Location: New York City (HQ)
Travel Requirement: 25%
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the go-to-market team with sales pitches and value positioning
- Engage directly with clients using the Viam platform
- Onboard a diverse range of users and help them achieve success with Viam
- Identify user needs and guide them through implementation and problem-solving
- Collaborate with Software Engineers and Product Managers to provide product feedback
- Influence future platform features and improvements
Ideal Candidate
Technical Skills
- Experience with hardware, robotics, and/or automation solutions
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, Go, C++, JavaScript)
Qualifications
- Degree in Software, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
OR
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- 2+ years of pre-sales experience is a plus

Compensation
- Base Salary Range: $150,000 – $250,000/year
(Based on experience, skillset, location, and internal equity)
